1230546 2011-09-12 21:58:00 Seems some one or persons decided to cause some trouble with Linux for a while Lets attack Linux Servers (www.zdnet.com.au). Seems they hacked some of the servers and dropped a trojan and caused quite a stir.

Just checked, the article says it was on the 8th September, 5 days later and they are still down.

Bet the security gets over haul now. OOPS

1230547 2011-09-13 01:49:00 I play with Linux Ubuntu occasionally. I always thought that Linux was reasonably secure when compared to Microsoft Windows. Bobh (5192)
1230548 2011-09-13 03:02:00 I always thought that Linux was reasonably secure when compared to Microsoft Windows. It is. That doesn't make it impossible to compromise.

No system is 100% secure.

1230549 2011-09-14 12:05:00 No system is 100% secure.

I recall a quote from an old computer-related book I read quite some time ago: "The only way to have a completely secure computer is to not purchase a computer. If you have purchased a computer, do not turn it on."

Or something to that effect.
