| 1383 | 1999-03-10 19:49:00 | I seem to have a recurrent problem with dynalink PNP modems . they will hardly ever be picked up by the pnp software in Win95 . Whenever I try to install maually and assign the modem to com3 (even com 2 out of deperation ) the modem never gets regonised . I contiually get the message of unable to find port in registry or cannot open the port . I have tried re-assigning the com3 IRQ to the same IRQ as the modem ( and visa versa ) however Win95 will either not allow me do this or it will change com 3 to com5 on re-boot . I am about to give all dynalink products a wide berth as I always seem to have problems with them .Can you help please. Regards Ian |
