1440 1999-03-16 23:49:00 I'm posting this query because David can't even get his PC running let alone get online. Frank, this is occurring with any and all CDs with .cab files, dirt isn't a problem. Using his daughters Win95 CD gets the same results. Files can't be found, upon boot-up straight after installing, it's just a shambles. I'm lending him my Win95 on floppy tomorrow to finally rule out a CDROM problem. I feel it's a virus as a lot of time is spent online by his kids and they could have easily brought one on board. Does anyone know of a virus that attacks .cab files? His virus checker is a bit out of date. The hard drive checks out fine, no bad sectors. Guest (0)
