We have an old 286 pre windows PC that for years has remained a reliable source for keeping old files in Wordperfect 5.0. In doing a periodic backup i've found that the A drive has packed up. There are (of course) some updated files that I can acess on screen but can't copy to floppy or transfer to our current PCs... What to do? How can I copy or access files via a cable/port? Is software still available for a DOS only machine and how would I load it? Or how hard would it be to put a new/2nd hand A drive in - having not actually been inside a PC before??? Thanks! |
