Some of my Device Manager Icons have changed to grey diamonds. The modem being one of these. When I try to remove the modem I get a message 'You have a device catagory selected. Device catagories cannot be removed.' I did in fact click on the 'modem' device catagory to select the modem I wanted to remove. Other icons that have changed are Disk Drives, CD Rom, Sound Video Game Controllers and Tape Drive (that I don't have). Any help in restoring my device manager to it's former self would be gratefully appreciated. |
