Help! I am thirteen years old with good computer skills. I was compressing my hard drive ( not the family one, my one for programming) and when I had finished, Windows 95 would not start up. I can only run DOS. I tried to format the drive, but DOS would not let me. I can't uncompress the drive because Drivespace is Win95/98 only. I tried to reinstall Win95 but my PC thinks I have no CD-ROM, and I have installed the drivers several times (before and after compressing). I tried to install Win3.11, but that would not work. Somehow I can't run my CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT because they won't load up, and in a isolated 'h:\' which I did not create. How can I fix my computer without spending anything? I have a 486 SX 33Mhz.
