1651 1999-04-17 06:52:00 A couple of days ago i posted a note re having problems calculating tan ,sin, cos formulas with degrees mode.

A reply was made but the answer given was not the required one.
The problem is excel caculates Tan30=-6.41
I Would like the anwser to be caculated using degrees mode. Ie Tan30=0.58

the replyed help note said something along the line of must convert no. into degrees. '=degrees(tan(30))
but this formula calculated the anwser to be 37 odd.
Could somebody plaesee tell me how to calculate the required formula in degrees mode instead of rad mode that excel is doing by defult
