| 1766 | 1999-05-05 21:36:00 | I have recently purchased a new computer, P11,128mb ram, Win 98. I am having problems connecting to the net when a click on the net icon on the desk top. The message 'Cannot connect to WWW.clear.net.nz.......' comes up. However I can connect by going thru Dial up networking, once connected I then click on the Net icon and the home page comews up. I connected the Clear help desk and was told that it was a fairly common problem with Win 98 and there was no way to fix it. Their suggestion was to put the Dial up networking icon the desktop to save going thru control panel. Is there a way to fix this? |
