| 1807 | 1999-05-10 00:52:00 | My Isp (iconz) offered a new range of products and I selected one which starts up by dialling a phone number beginning with 087-+++ where as the old number started with 960-++. I have an internal 56k modem, upgraded to v90 and I used to connect at 46,000bps. Now it connects at only 31200bps. Why????? Can this be rectified? Nothing has changed at my end. I have had no satisfaction from iconz. Any ideas??? I contacted Ihug and they also connect via 087-++ and said that I 'should' be OK. I have had no guarantee of this. Mac Grant |
