1256788 2012-02-01 04:01:00 Where can I get 2 cheap DVI cables? I need 2 for my desktop monitors, so i can replace the VGA cables that currently connect through dvi adapters to my video card.

I know that DVI gives a better picture, and normally a higher resolution (is this true?) I watch a lot of video and do a lot of visual stuff, so i really want to upgrade to DVI, because it's Digital, and i should get better color on my monitors. That and Now that both monitors are DVI cabable, i want to get the best out of them, and VGA is just old and outdated.

1256789 2012-02-01 04:37:00 All true in theory, except sitting here I have a 22" monitor that I have tried on both the old VGA cable and a DVI one and honestly I can't see a difference (it has both inputs).

As to where to buy the cables www.pbtech.co.nz $8 + GST so maybe it's worth it anyway.

1256792 2012-02-01 06:37:00 I've got 30 sitting here. Offer me enough to cover a courier and any number of them can be yours. We're at opposite ends of the country. All are 1.8m cable length and are DVI-D single link each end, as shown here: en.wikipedia.org

Got them at a bulk rate from It Refresh (Trademe) when they had unused product being dumped from corporate consumers who had replaced monitors (with new DVI cable) but still had old VGA gear at the computer end... hence no use for the cable.

Well i've got $10, but i can grab more off my mum (owes me anyway) if needed. I only need 2 and my box is right beside the 2 monitors so they don't need to be long or anything.
