| 1257328 | 2012-02-04 19:17:00 | This is fitted to a desktop PC and it has been running well up until last week. It will not connect to the internet at all and the PC now sees it as an unknown device. Is it time to get a new adapter? |

| 1257333 | 2012-02-04 20:21:00 | Best thing if possible is to connect it to another machine to see if it detects it properly, but it does sound like it has failed. If you have installed any new software or updates just before this happened you could try a system restore just to eliminate software as the cause. I had the same thing with a cheap kamakuza one I got from first-in. Except it worked "perfectly" for less than a day before going toes up. I replaced it with a TP-link from pbtech which has much better range as well. Edit: you could try here www.belkin.com |

| 1257334 | 2012-02-04 21:44:00 | the PC now sees it as an unknown device. Sounds like something has gone funny. I assume you have tried unplugging it and replugging it (maybe even to a different port?) - a bad connection could explain that problem. |

| 1257335 | 2012-02-04 22:54:00 | I'd agree Agent_24 I have tried downloading the drivers on to the Vista machine that doesn't like the adapter and I was told to plug in the adapter to complete the installation but plugging it in didn't complete the installation. (I used an ethernet cable but that is not a longterm option) The machine beeps appropriately when the adapter is connected and disconnected. I have just plugged the adapter into this machine and it gives "Not recognised" balloon. I'd say it was time for a trip to DSE. |
