1889 1999-05-18 06:00:00 I have just brought a new 56k Dynalink PCI PnP modem and have found that no matter what I try, it won't work in my DX4/100 PCI motherboard (with a hyperace 586 chip installed). I also have a S3 Virge 2MB PCI video card installed. I can get windows 98 to pick up the modem and install the software but it won't open the port. By changing the combination of the 3 PCI slots between the modem and the video card I get various results, including crashing Windows 98.As soon as I put my old 33k6 dynalink half card back in, its fine. Help me please, as its painful to look at my 56k modem just sitting in its box next to the computer. Guest (0)
