1869 1999-05-15 19:52:00 After much trial and error I finally got my new internal USR 56k Voicefaxmodem successfully installed. This involved arranging the shunts on the COM jumper pins to mimic my old 33.6 Sportster. I also copied the IRQ setting by putting a shunt on jumper pin 2.

The resultant speed seems to be roughly half of what the 33.6 Sportster achieved. I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to improve things. Should I just remove the shunt from the IRQ pin or could it be more subtle - like a need for an upgraded serial chip. Is it straight-forward to upgrade the serial chip?

Many thanks for any assistance.
