| 1949 | 1999-05-26 05:44:00 | 'Unable to create a Socket Connection' This is coming up when I try to get on the net. I dial up and connect to my ISP the Netscape Communcator 4.51 loads along with ICQ. Neither Communictor or ICQ work. This happened sometime ago and was solved when I installed a new HDD aqnd reloaded everything. I was using the Net successfully for about six weeks when it suddenly popped up again. I run Windows 95. I wonder if it is my modem? I have logged on to my ISP via another persons computer to eliminate anything at my ISP's end. |
