I run a cyrix 166 based system, 32Mb RAM, Win 98, cardex s3D Virge display with Monster 3D accelerator and a CTX 15' monitor. Recently I upgarded to a Quantum 4.3Gb HDD (from a seagate Mb HDD)and Win 98 (from Win 95) Now my 3D accelerated games freeze on startup. Win 98 reports the 3D card as functional and none of the trouble shooting wizards help, it doesn't appear as though there are any hardware conflicts. The games work in unaccelerated mode. The drivers being used are those identified by Win 98. |
