I am running a Cyrix 166 based system with only 16 megs ram and a Quantum 2.1 gig HDD. While loading applications such as web browsers and while loading specific web pages my system seems to freeze in suspended animation for approximately 5 - 10 seconds. During this time the pointer can be moved however the only other sign of activity is the Hard Drive which ticks over very slowly. This has only started happening within the past 2 months. Any help with this would be very much appreciated! |
