| 2046 | 1999-06-07 09:56:00 | I have a problem with MS backup (and the odd other prog I have seen) in that it sets the archive bit as it goes. In the (not unlikely) event that the backup fails I cannot then repeat my incremental backup and have to resort to a full backup of my data which takes a lot longer. Any suggestions as to a work around or any programs that set the archive bit after it has verified a valid backup. I typiccally back up a 100Mb or so of data files onto a Zip disk. My current work around is to backup onto my hard drive first, but crashes are not unknown either. Cheers Phil Norton |
