| 2074 | 1999-06-09 14:22:00 | I have just attempted to load a CD into my computer, howeverI keep getting the message: D:\is not accessible The device is not ready This is the first time that this problem has occurred, rebooting the system has made no difference. I have CyberLink's CD Wizard installed on my PC, it is also not registering the insertion of a CD into the drive unit. The only thing that I have done recently is to make some back-up/start-up files, I have copied the following files onto a diskette using {right click}copy then (right click}paste onto a:\ Autoexec.bat Config.sys Win.ini System.ini User.dat I am wondering if I have inadvertantly removed some vital information from my c:\ drive in the process. Does anything obvious stand out? As a relative novice to PC matters 'basic level' advice would be appreciated! I am running Win 98 on a PII 333 processor. |
