I have a HP 5100C scanner connected in series with a HP710C printer on a single parrallel port. Since installing W98 I have not been able to get it to work. I have got the latest W98 drivers for the scanner from HP and have loaded them a couple of times , the printer works fine and the parrallel port test shows everything is OK. However when I try to either run the scanner test or to scan the system locks up as soon as the 'scan' button is clicked. c/a/d shows the software is not responding.
Wouuld be grateful for any suggestions. |
