2159 1999-06-16 11:26:00 When printing a document from any source (i.e. Word97, MS Greetings, Adobe PhotoShop etc) for the first time in any session (i.e. the first time the printer is used when the PC is turned on), the printed document is created ok. But, before the printer icon on the toolbar is removed an ?illegal operation? error is displayed.

The details are as follows:

SPOOL32 caused an invalid page fault in
module ISM.DLL at 018f:02a41e04.

After this error box is closed, the printer icon is removed from the toolbar and any further print jobs are completed without any problems.

Ok, not life threatening but unnecessary and frustrating for a new purchase. I have spent a number of hours with both PC supplier (DELL) and HP, with no further progress. Have tried changing a bunch of spool setting etc, some making the situation worse, none improving the situation.

System configuration details include:

NVidia RIVA TNT video card
