2203	1999-06-21 01:42:00	I don't know the brand of modem but I pulled it out of my system and the chips have the name LUCENT on them. Also the number HY90p-t... I have recently upgraded to V90 (or so I thought) My system is PII-266 Running Win98 My ISP was ihug and my connection was 50k. Now my ISP is xtra but connection is only 31k. ??? I can't seem to connect at 50k to extra but can to ihug ??? Any ideas please. Have tried ringing xtra - to be told to read the 'online help' I have setup everything to their requirements but no luck. The other stuff I have tried is: (Again this is their advice) Add 'AT&F&MS=56,1,300,56000,1,0,33600' or if that dosn't work try 'AT&F=MS=11,1,300,33600' I have placed each of these strings in the settings specified but my modem won't work at all with these settings... It tries to dial but it doesn't even grab the phone line. Another string 'AT&F' works - at least it dials and connects but only at 45k ??? Any help please... I am having trouble with the thought of adding a string or something for xtra when I didn't need anything for ihug ??? Thanx	Guest (0)
