| 2170 | 1999-06-17 12:32:00 | Recently I got Redhat Linux 5.2, so I am a newbie to the linux enviroment. I installed it using the 'workstation class' option and got every thing ready to see what linux offers. The first thing I did after logging in, I typed startx to start xwindows but I get many different error messages saying files not found and certain files were deleted, etc then got back to the 'dos-like' enviroment. how could this be? I already double check the installation manual which doesn't even tell me much about the problem...... and yes I have installed XFree86, config stuff, etc...... please help!!! |
