I have just successfully installed RedHat 6 from my Mitsubishi 20x CD-ROM onto the second partition of a second HDD. When I issue the Linux command 'mount /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom' I get the error 'fs type iso9660 not supported by kernel'. Does this mean at my early stage of using Linux that I need to recompile the kernel (even though Linux installed from this CD-ROM drive)? I am using LOADLIN to boot Linux - after the Kernel is recompiled, will this method of booting still work? |
