| 2309 | 1999-07-02 23:35:00 | Hi, I want to play a dos game in windows 95. When I try and start it up from the dos prompt I get a message saying that I need 537,600 bytes of core memory and an additional 1,536,000 of expanded memory. My system has 620K of conventional memory free, so I don't understand the first problem. This is what my config.sys says: DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS.001\HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS.001\EMM386.EXE NOEMS DOS=HIGH,UMB REM DEVICE=C:\HXCD-ROM\LTNIDE.SYS /D:MSCD000 REM DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS.001\AD1816.EXE /W I know my problem is probably the noems statement, but this is what gives me so much conventional memory as when I took it off I only had like 560K. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you. |
