A friend of mine has been having trouble lately with Netscape Navigator 3's email program. After reinstalling Netscape to fix some problems that had been occuring (and copying backups of the 'sent' and 'inbox' files to keep her records), she found that emails that she had sent no longer went into the sent folder. All the emails she sent before reinstalling are still in the 'sent' folder. She finds this very frustrating, as she can no longer tell who she has sent emails to or when. I had a look at it for her, and found that under 'mail and news preferences', no file had been supplied to copy outgoing messages to. I entered the file 'sent' into the dialogue box, thinking that would solve the problem. Unfortunately, this did not, sent emails were still not added to the 'sent' file.
I can see no reason why this is not working - is it a bug of Netscape's? If you have any suggestions, please email me! |
