1258115 2012-02-08 08:29:00 Just been playing with a few android phones as of late, and I'm looking for an App, (free if possible) that works similar to the iphone "find my iphone".

Was also playing with a iphone today setting that up, and the app works good, located the phone to about 10mtrs on the map.

Before anyone says get a iphone -- hell would freeze over first :p

So anyone recommend a locating app that is known to work on Android phones ??

Ta Muchly :)

1258118 2012-02-08 08:46:00 Had a look at several, including the ones linked (thanks) only thing was some of the comments were not to promising.

Thats why I was after ones that people currently are using and known to work. ;)

I actually just tried fonehome (https://www.myfonehome.com/) installed and activated fine, but damn thing wanted to use the wireless all the time, which is pointless if its not connected to a WAN. Said the signal was not strong enough to use, well dhurrrrrrr its signal strength is all bars topped off as high and good as it will go.

1258121 2012-02-08 18:39:00 I had a pretty decent one a while back. Forgot what it was.

by rooting the phone as well the apps can have very advanced control over it, commands can be sent via txt message as well as defining rules for what should happen if the phone were to do something such as travel into a certain area or even over a certain speed!

as usual I cant find it now
