1258053 2012-02-08 07:12:00 Fixing a 6th gen ipod nano for a mate. He managed to get it through the wash. Luckily everything works fine except the screen's backlight. I have ordered a new part but in the process of doing a complete disassembly in order to clean off a lot of Aluminum oxide I managed to break the connector for the Heaphone jack and vol/sleep buttons.

I have had a quick search but it seems that people only seem to be supplying batteries and screens.Does anyone know of a supplier for the headphone/button assembly? Help Much appreciated!

Thanks

TEG

1258054 2012-02-08 08:00:00 sorry but no manufacturers sell these parts other than too apple themselves. Slankydudl (16687)
1258055 2012-02-08 08:06:00 Not quite, several sellers with these www.ebay.co.uk

Ebay seems to be the only place with them for sale.

1258057 2012-02-08 08:13:00 Checked dealextreme? icow (15313)
1258058 2012-02-08 18:59:00 I probably should have searched deeper before asking :p but when about 15 mins of searches brings absolutely NO refereance I thought they just be harder and assumed as Slanky said, its only avaliable from apple.... then along came ebay :D

Ill check DX and probably find them cheaper/better quality there hahaha

1258059 2012-02-09 03:36:00 I can see why you dont use ebay. Shipping to Sealand must be expensive :p icow (15313)

I can't see why you don't use ebay. Sure they will be clone parts but aside from becoming an Authorised Apple Service Agent or whatever you aren't going to get your hands on those parts...
