1234091 2011-09-28 01:19:00 It started when I read an article on page A17 in today's NZ Herald.

I haven't been able to find that article on line, but the gist of it is here (www.theprovince.com).

That led to other references like here (www.guardian.co.uk), here (www.dailytelegraph.com.au), here (nz.news.yahoo.com), and here (my.telegraph.co.uk).

Seems it's pretty contentious! ;)

Well, surely it can be any significant date. And if you take that to it's logical conclusion, I suspect that there's a large faction in NZ that would want the calendar zeroed on/at Sunday 23 October if the current multi-million dollar silliness concludes in the local team's favour!!

What other choice could we have made?

I thought the cretinaceous age was our fate due to failing to tidy up properly after a couple of local skirmishes.

One tends to forget we are going through the cretaceous period.

Is that a female complaint?
