1233756 2011-09-26 20:47:00 Hi Team

I need to contact a US company by phone, but I only have a 1-800 number . I am not concerned about call costs, but will 001-1800 12345678 be connected?

Yes,I know I could just try it, but they are not awake yet in behind-the-times land, and with my luck I'd be connected to Outer Mongolia at a cost of 50 Yak-Butts a second, followed soon after by strange men knocking on my door at 2:00am wanting to take Mrs T in lieu of payment (more fool them, they'd soon regret it!) .

Cheers

Come to think of it, I'd be inclined to let them take her, they'd have had enough before they even got out of the street and pay good money for me to take her back . And yes, she's not home; no, she doesn't read PF1! You think I have a death wish?

1233758 2011-09-26 21:13:00 The need for special prefix may not be needed now.

"If you are a Telecom New Zealand customer and call (00) 1-800 then your call is put through and you are charged the standard international calling rates on your plan. They even play a message before the call is connected to let you know this. "
