| 1234465 | 2011-09-30 20:33:00 | The actual games I've played have had little to no lag. (360) But a lot of the games I get in, you move and get teleported back in a lag like fashion and have to quit. Not sure if that's what he means? |

Yeah, I pretty much abandoned PC gaming 4 or 5 years ago due to the exact same reasons (starforce you bastard), stopped upgrading, stopped buying new games, and got my fix from the limited world of consoles. BF3 got me exited, I spent some coin, Then as more info came to be released it all started to come back to me. I even installed Steam, an app I swore off years ago. That pos lasted about 20 minutes.... |

| 1234470 | 2011-10-09 03:53:00 | So as it appears BF3 beta is shutting down in a day or two, I figured I might as well give it a try. Origin is as I expected, a big Steam ripoff, except for the even stupider feature that instead of having the server browser in Origin where you might expect it, it loads in your browser. What the...?? So not only do you have to install Origin, you also have to load your browser and install some browser plugin as well? That's actually worse than Steam. Apart from that the game ran well, at least it did when I drove a truck around the map at high speed. However trying to aim my gun at anything felt like(and looked like) my guy was trying to move it around in a bucket of treacle. Certainly not my machine lagging, as driving the truck was perfectly fine. Then again maybe that's why it's a beta version. |
