2012-02-08 19:22:00 | Hi, I acknowledge that this request may be pushing the rules of this site, but please let me explain my reasoning. If you are not interested in my excuse, please scroll down: (I purchased a couple of books from Audible.com - the audio book side of Amazon. One was War & Peace (5GB) and cost me a HUGE chuck of my 8GB data cap. But the files won't load to my Samsung MP3 player. I have spoken to Audible about this and they apologized and say "As of right now however, the Samsung is not Audible ready... [and they] apologize for any inconvenience". I own the files, Audible did not warn that the files have limited usability. I just want to use what I have brought on my Samsung while out running, something I currently can not do.) CAN SOMEONE PLEASE RECOMMEND ME A FULLY FUNCTIONAL FREE PROGRAM TO CONVERT ENCRYPTED .AA FILES (audio book) TO STANDARD MP3 SO I CAN LISTEN TO THEM ON MY MP3 PLAYER. Your assistance is appreciated as usual.

2012-02-08 20:22:00 | Thanks, already Googled and downloaded 3 "free" programmes that only allow you to convert the first 90 or so seconds of a file..... waisting more of my limited cap.... does anyone know of an actual FULLY FUNCTIONING FREE PROGRAMME please.... cheers | Aporosa (5671) | |
2012-02-08 20:27:00 | The prob maybe that the AA files are encrypted. I think they're encrypted for a reason. I've got a program here that may convert them. But its not free either | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-02-08 21:39:00 | Can't Audacity record the PC's audio output? That might work, of course will take a while to run if we're talking about War & Peace at 1x speed... | MushHead (10626) | |
2012-02-09 03:41:00 | @ Speedy Gonzales, have you tried de-encrypting .aa files with your programme and if it works, what is the programme worth please. Cheers... | Aporosa (5671) | |
2012-02-09 03:47:00 | I dont have any AA files. So, I dont know if it works or not. But I do use the program (Wondershare video converter ultimate) to convert other formats | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-02-09 04:13:00 | Speedy, I just went to send you a small .aa file via the private email system to test but it does not appear you can attach files. Is this correct?? | Aporosa (5671) | |
2012-02-09 06:27:00 | stream-recorder.com perhaps? | Agent_24 (57) | |
2012-02-09 08:46:00 | You might be able to get your mp3 format books from free public domains, (www.booksshouldbefree.com) including Project Gutenburg. (http://www.gutenberg.org/) | kahawai chaser (3545) | |
