| 2445 | 1999-07-15 01:47:00 | I have been trying to create a second (4GB) partition on my 12GB hard drive on which to install Linux. When I run fdisk (from a boot disk) it asks if I want to enable large disk support. Then, whether I choose yes or no, the program exits and I am back to the command line. If I use fdisk /status, I get the message 'No fixed disks present'. I have no trouble booting Win98 from C. I also tried fips20, partition resizer and aefdisk without success. The computer is brand new, so I don't mind wiping the hard drive. Any help appreciated. |
