My aging Packard Bell DX4x100 has thrown a new problem at me, the monitor is changing colour. While I am working at it sometimes the screen develops a yellow tinge, this is all over the screen. There is nothing near it which would account for this. It is usually an intermittant flicker lasting anything from a flash to several seconds. I do have a lone burnt pixel in the centre of the screen which is trailing a small 'smoke trail' but that has been around for some months. I am running IE5, Office97 and Dairywin 32-bit with 16M RAM. I am trying to wring every bit of life out of my pc that I can so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |
