| 2717 | 1999-08-18 07:02:00 | Recently all my Zip 100 disks are being described by the system as 'Write protected' this is contrary to the settings under the Zip tools. I thought I had the 'click of death' and Iomega replaced my Zip drive. The same errors appeared with the new drive. I deleted and replaced all the Zip software with new versions off the net and nothing changed. I bought some new disks, and they still are 'write protected' This is most obvious when I try to do a thorough scan on the disks, which refuses to run becuase of write protection. Moving files too and from the disks may cause the system to hang as well. This distresful situation has cost me 100's of meg of files, and time, can anyone help please? |
