My Packard Bell Pentium 120 was getting bogged down and crashing more than it should. I decided to reformat and reinstall win 95. I have the PB recovery disks and proceeded to the task. Alas I lost my com ports the first time, after trying to install a com port thru Install Hardware I was told that the hardware had been disabled. My ISP help desk recommended that I try and install win95 again, so I reformatted and reinstalled again and have the same message - This device has been disabled in the hardware. What has happened and what can I do please? Are the manufacturers disks different than Microsofts? |
