My trouble is in staying connected with this new modem.. a 56k V90 Dynalink Internal modem. I get disconnected about every 2 minutes..have had occassioins where I was able to stay online for an hour...but they are the exception. Have had Telecom run a line test and that was reported as good. Have also fiddled with all the modem config settings but without success. Any ideas?? Have heard it said..and by a local technician..that internal modems are nothing but trouble...he now only recommends external models. Is their any basis behind this?? In completing this posting, I had to reconnect 7 times..and had threee failed attempts at reconnecting as well. Maybe I need to go back to my old 33.6k modem?? Your help would be appreciated. |
