1259370 2012-02-15 21:04:00 I am getting very slow internet, contacted ISP (Slingshot) they took me through a procedure that fixed problem, 15 mins later it was back to slow speed, rang them back, talked at length and they concluded from info that my Belkin modem was at fault, have had a few probs and thought I might take this opportunity to replace with one suggest by Chilling Silence some time ago, can't remember what his recommendation was??

I might add my current unit is a wireless Belkin.

1259371 2012-02-15 21:10:00 CS recommends this. The NB6Plus4Wn. Snorkbox (15764)
1259372 2012-02-15 21:20:00 Belkin are no good. Got one in my cupboard that doesn't work properly. Alright for a backup if my present one packs up until I get a new one.

1259377 2012-02-15 22:07:00 Yeah I'd still stick with the NB6Plus4Wn for the time being, they're the best ADSL2+ router for home / small office by a long shot. Easy to setup, reliable.

One thing I've noticed though is that VDSL2 routers are *significantly* more expensive than ADSL2+... like between 2-4X more expensive!

I've never had much luck with any of the Belkins, except for the el-cheapo 1-port ones ... It seemed the more that Belkin added in to their routers, the less reliable they became :p

1259379 2012-02-17 22:33:00 Got new router........

When I get log inscreen, I put in user name and password, but it will not accept, can I assume that I am not putting in correct info, I am fairly sure it is correct!
