| 1259290 | 2012-02-15 19:55:00 | It's a fairly continuous cycle, there are people who constantly attempt to find security holes or software exploits and then point them out to the suppliers who write a patch. Of course these people publish their exploits so they are freely available to hackers and the like so the patchs become necessary, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. Every now and then an actual real world threat arises using these vunerabilities and then the patches become critical. I just let windows auto update whenever it likes, it's fairly unusual that it causes me any trouble and I don't need to worry about this stuff. |
