| 1259037 | 2012-02-13 23:32:00 | Hello, In December I purchased a new PC. My graphics card supplies me with 2x DVI outputs; whereas my 2x 1080p HD screens have HDMI and VGA inputs. At the moment I am using one DVI to VGA adapter which then connects to a VGA to VGA cable and for the other screen I am using a DVI to HDMI cable. The DVI to HDMI cord I am using will need to be returned to its rightful owner soon and so I'm going to need a new cable. My questions are: Which cabling method should I use for best quality? When buying cords does gold/silver plating ect matter? Any recommendatoins on brands, suppliers ect? Thanks for the help, Caleb Watson |

A DVI to HDMI either direct cable or using an adapter at the PC end would do the trick, and be better in theory than vga. Stay under 3 metres in length and any old Cable will work perfectly, the gold etc is mainly marketing BS especially with short cables. I use cheap cables from the likes of Jaycars or PBtech . You can find them even cheaper online. |

Thanks again! |
