1258914 2012-02-13 01:24:00 Ok, I have googled this for the past hour, but still none the wiser. I realize that you can't play quicktime files on Android tablet, but is there something that will play them and everything esle?

1258915 2012-02-13 02:21:00 Did you try searching Quicktime on the android market? I just did on my phone and got dozens of results. Should be worth trying some of the free ones :) dugimodo (138)
1258916 2012-02-13 03:01:00 Ok, I have downloaded MX Player and the codec, still doesn't work. I also tried the Mobo Player and the correct codec, and I cannot get that to work either.
Is there something else that I have to do to make it work?

1258917 2012-02-13 03:06:00 I haven't actually done it myself, I'll try to have a play after work and see if I can convince my phone to play them.
I see VLC are working on a version for Android so if they release that I'd be hopeful it'd be as good as the PC version :)

been tempted by the New Acer A200, at $499 it's the cheapest dual core 10.1" android tablet I've seen. How are you finding your new Tablet so far ?

1258918 2012-02-13 03:27:00 Try RockPlayer.
It's supposed to play mov files.

1258919 2012-02-13 03:58:00 I think I quite like it so far, except that it won't play quicktime movies. They are some little clips I did of my beautiful burmese cat that I lost.
I have had a few issues with getting MyNet to work, however, that could be a wireless issue. I might try Rock player like Driftwood suggests.

A200 apparently started to get ICS upgrades earlier today!

Hi Chill,
So Rockplayer plays all vid files including Quicktime?
The main reason being that my daughter and a colleague are working on an Educational DVD ROM and she asked if I could do some testing on different platforms and browsers for them, especially Droid as I happen to have one lol!
So far it's all good except it won't load the video content which is in Quicktime format, (They're all Apple geeks over there in the US).

1258922 2012-02-13 05:41:00 Moboplayer with the codec pack certainly plays standard .mov files, the only time I've encountered any issues with media playback of any sort are DRM-protected files. inphinity (7274)
1258923 2012-02-13 21:52:00 .Mov is really just a container, what codec is actually being used?
Open one in quicktime on a mac or pc and open movie inspector, what does it say there?
