1464230	2019-10-01 23:19:00	Apart from replacing the internal SATA hard disc with a SATA SSD what else is involved? I know that programs will have to be reinstalled but does anything else to be done e.g. with the Windows 10 system? I will get a technician to do it but would it be costly? 1464231	2019-10-01 23:59:00	You can get the HDD cloned to the SSD, pop it in and you're away. If you prefer to fresh install and do a data transfer that is an option too, but will be more costly as it's a lot more time consuming. I would say to expect sonewhere around $50 - $90 labour depending on how long it takes to get to the HDD in your notebook.	wratterus (105)

If you wanted better, then ex-lease, brought several for my customers all working 100% and they will all take W10 if you have to do a fresh install. ( some come pre loaded with W10.) Normally the customers always want the cheapest to spend with the highest performance ;) Purchased for customers a few Desktops -- Dells, i5's with 8GB memory, if they dont come with W10 install that using the W7 Keys. Also brought a few HP's. You can pay a small bit more to upgrade to W10 pre loaded. Been some I've removed memory from the persons old PC and put in these, upgrading to 8GB. Only purchased 1 laptop so far, (Lenovo) They all so far work very well. These are mostly Business class Computers so are better built, come with a std 3 month warranty or for a bit more you can upgrade to 6 months or 1 Year. Every Brand has some excellent models Every brand has sold laptops that were dud's Every brand has sold laptops with video chips that ran too hot and had higher than usual fail rate (after a few years) You cant really go by brand alone :) Also , with used Brand name SFF PC's, if hardware faults it will often be uneconomic to repair . Factor that into the cost . They tend to use non standard parts , non standard power supply (too expensive to replace) and sometimes even use non standard connectors making it hard to even test hardware (eg cant use a std psu to test the damn thing, connectors different) Even some full size HP Business PC's use non standard motherboard power connectors (for no good reason) . Makes it hard for fault finding .	1101 (13337)
