1464023 2019-09-25 05:09:00 Your signature, Gary, prompted me to google the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary. On none of our visits to Nelson were we aware of it, but will certainly visit it whenever we visit again. Great ratings from Trip Advisor - 69% saying "Excellent". Misty (368)
1464024 2019-09-25 05:15:00 At work I have to, actually more like 4 factor for some things. And for Blizzard games I kinda do, they relaxed the rules a lot so you don't have to use it every time as long as the device is recognised.
Can't say how good the protection is, not sure I've ever been hacked with or without it so hard to tell the difference.

As to the process, it varies depending on the particular device or app you have to use. For Blizzard it's a smartphone app and I just have to click the authorise button that pops up when a new device tries to access my account - dead easy.
For the work logins, one uses a usb device I just have to put my finger on and enter a passcode and password, fairly easy.
The other uses a small safenet device I have to enter a pin number into that generates a code that I then use to login with my user name and password. That's my least favourite and I consider it a little awkward but it's ok if you don't have to do it multiple times a day.

And I have to login to the first two factor system to gain access to login to the 2nd two factor system, and then launch the program I want and login again. The joys of remote accessing other companies systems :)
You get used to it.

1464025 2019-09-25 05:33:00 Use an app called Authy which has the main benefit of being on. Both phone and tablet.

Has 2fa for Amazon, facecrap github all sorts. Much better than the text based garbage that some sites try (PlayStation, epic games etc)

At SWMBO's work they have similar to that but even more secure, its a two person Code, meaning when they go into the accounts the bank sends out two different random codes to two different authorized people, they have about 5 minutes to enter both codes or it times out.

Hi Misty

yes its a great facility for Nelson, they were able to keep costs down to get the sanctuary up and running. SWMBO was their first ever paid employee when we still lived in Nelson. We try and visit every time we go back to Nelson.

1464028 2019-09-25 08:33:00 Yes I have 2FA for multiple platforms at work and I also have it for things like Battle.net, iTunes and Steam access.

It is handy, albeit an "additional" step in the login process, but the premise of 2FA is security rather than speedy login.

Cheers,
