1464002 2019-09-24 05:11:00 Looking for a Video Sender for a Set Top Box (only HDMI output) that does not cost an arm and a leg, any suggestions? The STB only has HDMI out, so can't use the old sender we already have. Jaycar has one with huge sticker shock, at $339 down from $459, are there something closer to the $100 to $150 range? Tempted to look on AliExpress but some of them are crazy prices too. Geek4414 (12000)
1464003 2019-09-24 06:06:00 Video sender for what?
What are you wanting to send the HDMI signal down?
RG6 coax?
RCA cable?

1464005 2019-09-24 21:23:00 I assumed wireless, probably this one www.jaycar.co.nz

I can't find anything much cheaper myself. Is running a cable not an option? Convenience seems like it will cost you.

two things you must be aware of with Aliexpress , some of the electronic stuff is utter rubbish, some works perfectly. The other make sure you have an option to Select a AUS plug as a LOT are only USA, UK or EU power Plugs.

ALWAYS read the reviews on the seller, some are really shocking some are great. Like the New Security Cams I got, all good reports and took a week from placing the order to on the doorstep, and they work fantastic.

1464007 2019-09-25 00:55:00 Ah the plug thing I have a NZ to UK and UK to NZ adapter still despite being here for nearly 20 years. Cheap as and still gets used fairly regularly gary67 (56)
1464008 2019-10-04 03:46:00 Sorry, have not been back on here for a while. What I'm after is a wireless video sender to send video from the STB downstairs to bedroom upstairs Geek4414 (12000)

This ( www.aliexpress.com ) looks better price wise. Thanks, will have a think about it.

I've bought a few things from AliExpress, mostly worked out fine, only had couple of dud ones that were quite cheap, so didn't really matter. Only had one purchase that didn't turn up but I got full refund when I lodged a dispute.
