1463770 2019-09-16 02:43:00 My friend had her Apple Mac unplugged (not by her) while it was still turned on, and now it won't boot. I know zilch about Apple, so any ideas about what might be happening/how to fix it will be greatly appreciated. Tony (4941)

Unplug the power cable that goes into the back of the Mac for about 30 sec and reconnect and try restarting normally.

1463772 2019-09-16 06:00:00 What is happening when they turn it on?
What's showing on the screen, a flashing folder with a ? or a prohibited symbol or something else?

1463774 2019-09-16 07:35:00 Don't know what is happening. I'll find out. I'll also pass on the suggestions. Tony (4941)
1463775 2019-09-23 22:07:00 It looks like my friend is guilting her husband (he who unplugged the laptop) into getting a new machine. As the current non-functioning Mac is about 15 years old, she won't know herself when it arrives. She has stuff well backed up on an external drive, so hopefully she should be OK. Tony (4941)
