Here is mine, was father in laws. Gave it to me around 40 years ago. Haven't used it for probably 35 years since we stopped camping at Mahia with the kids.
It is sitting in my garage waiting for the time I can supply hot water to my neighbours after an earthquake or suchlike. :thumbs:
Note the cork.... most important, keeps the spiders out. :lol::lol:

1469531 2020-06-14 23:04:00 Since starting this thread, I decided to dismantle my Russell Hobs jug to see why it was leaking.
However, one super tight screw with a triangular socket head foiled my efforts.
So I put everything back in place & it's stopped leaking now.

1469532 2020-06-14 23:29:00 If you can use an ordinary type 220v kettle with an immersion heater conveniently then you should as any other way will waste electrical power.

I don't waste any electricity using my kettle, because it is on a gas hob...
