| 1464152 | 2019-10-10 22:41:00 | Also Linux Mint uses a reasonable amount of resources itself these days and won't necessarily run quickly either. There are lighter versions of it using KDE though and other distros designed for low powered hardware. If all you do is browse the internet and read your E-mail it might be worth considering linux. Mint is pretty fully featured for new users but that doesn't mean you won't find yourself using the command line at some point, not for everyone. |

I use the command line quite often; most of the time I don't know what I am doing. Usually software vendors that require the command line to install their software, have instructions on their websites. |

| 1464155 | 2019-12-02 09:39:00 | My Toshiba Tecra M10 worked fine on Win 7 but is really slow with Win 10. What is the best and least expensive solution? 1 Reinstall Win 7 (I don't have the installation disc), 2 Install a ssd drive 3 Increase RAM from 2GB to 4GB .... What is the best and least expensive solution? Why not reinstall Windows 10,this is better than installing Windows 7 on your laptop. en.wikipedia.org I have an expectation that the vast majority of Windows 7 users will leave Windows 7 in the near future. Why is this least expensive solution?Just need a Windows 10 installation disc, the Windows 10 is easy to install. www.windows10passwordreset.com It has the lowest cost. |
