| 1469536 | 2020-06-13 21:44:00 | We have just bought a new laptop and one of the programmes installed is Office 365. It is on a trial period and to have it permanately, you need to pay. I think it's about $460 which is more than we can afford especially as we have just paid out for the new laptop. Is there any way of getting around that or is there a programme we can download (for free?) that will do the same job? Thanks for your help. |

| 1469537 | 2020-06-13 22:00:00 | www.libreoffice.org I thought everyone knew about this by now. After install, go into Preferences and under Gneral - Load/Save change txt to .docx, spreadsheet to .xlsx and save it. That way it uses Office extensions instead of it's own, for compatibility. |

Normality vs normalcy, normalcy is the correct word, normality does not exist in my book. Behind the eight ball means you're f...ed not that you are in a favourable position. There are more but can't bring to mind at the moment. One in particular is really annoying to me, it's a pronunciation flaw, but eludes me just now. |

You can load up 5 years worth of licenses at a time. My last one expires in 2024. There are free office suits available but if you want to use Outlook as an email client you will have to go with Office 365 or the like if not go for a free version they're pretty good these days. |

Here's what I was taught: 1) The possessive pronouns yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs, and whose never need apostrophes. 2) The only time it's has an apostrophe is when it is a contraction for it is or it has. The only time who's has an apostrophe is when it means who is or who has. I stand by those rules, sourced from GrammarBook.com :p |

| 1469544 | 2020-06-14 00:16:00 | There's plenty of Free ones that are about, but as its been mentioned by Paul, if you want to use the Outlook Client you have to use MS office, there's subscriptions, way cheaper than outright purchase. I personally install on customers Computers who dont want to use MS Office a Free one called ( funny enough) Free Office www.freeoffice.com is Completely compatible with MS Office works exactly the same and Free. Had quite a few people who used to use MS Office earlier versions went to Open Office / LibreOffice and absolutely hated it. Install Free Office and its almost exactly the same as MS Office. Only thing you have to do is go into he options and change the default save to MS formats. |
