1464246 2019-10-02 08:27:00 How do I make "remove space after paragraph' default?

In Word 2013, when I hit Enter after typing a line, the space between the next line is rather wide, about 2 lines spacing; but if I keep on typing it will go to the next line with normal spacing.

Possible to configure it as default ?

1464248 2019-10-02 19:33:00 Shift+Enter works.

Is there a way to make it default?

1464250 2019-10-03 05:27:00 1101, I followed your link,
checked "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style"

Clicked "Set as Default" ->

Checked " All documents based on the Normal template"

Returned to Word, it works fine, but when I restarted Word, it doesn't save the settings....

1464252 2019-10-03 19:43:00 You may have to change the default template ? 1101 (13337)
1464253 2019-10-03 20:41:00 How do I change the default template? bk T (215)
1464254 2019-10-04 00:10:00 Change the Normal template (Normal.dotm )

On the File tab, click Open.
Go to C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates.
Open the Normal template (Normal.dotm).
Make any changes that you want to the fonts, margins, spacing, and other settings. ...
When you have finished, click the File tab, and then click Save

1464255 2019-10-10 20:13:00 I would resist using SHIFT+ENTER except in specific circumstances. That creates a "Newline" rather than a "paragraph". That has all sorts of flow-on effects on formatting, styles etc. Tony (4941)
