| 2932 | 1999-09-14 01:20:00 | I was just about to upgrade my 33.6 modem to a 56K version, but got scared off by Juha's column this month. There seem to be all sorts of pitfalls and perils associated with 56K modems that may reduce connection speeds down to what I am already geting (living out in Waitakere, out of sight of the SkyTower as I do). And where does FirmWare come into it? I know hardware, software, shareware and freeware, but FirmWare??? |
