| 2995 | 1999-09-22 13:24:00 | Last week I accidentally typed in (in DOS - I still find it easier to some jobs that way) DEL A*.* rather than DEL A:*.* (I was intending to clear up a floppy disk). As I had just hopped into DOS from WIN 95, I was in the \WINDOWS directory at the time. Was there anything essential that I got rid of and if so, how do I get it back? Everything is more or less working, although I did have to re-install MS Works 4.0 and I now get a small 'a' appearing briefly in the bottom left corner when I start up Windows (I have a dim, distant memory of this being something to do with some font handling program - but I didn't have it before 'my accident'. Any comments? |
